THE OPPORTUNITY
The Heart and Stroke Foundation is seeking an 18-month contract position for a dedicated Administrative Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining our front desk, providing excellent customer service, and offering administrative support to the Health Promotion department.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet and welcome guests with a positive and helpful attitude
- Ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly, including opening and closing the office
- General office operations, i.e., ordering office supplies and maintaining inventory
- Maintain accurate donor records and database software
- Handle incoming and outgoing communications, including phone calls, emails and mail
- Provide administrative, and data management support to the programs of the Health Promotion Department
- Provide confidential administrative assistance to the Vice President, Health Promotion
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Post-Secondary Education
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a related field or
- An equivalent combination of education, professional training, and experience.
Requirements
- Bilingualism (English and French) is preferred.
- Must possess a valid Driver's License.
- Clear criminal record.
- Strong computer literacy, including effective working skills of entire MS Office Suite, including excel, and social media applications. Experience with Mailchimp and Survey Monkey is an asset.
- Excellent organizational, time management, interpersonal, and overall communication skills.
- Experienced in planning and organizing meetings, workshops, or events to meet desired outcomes for program, participants, sponsors, employees, and organization.
