MANAGER OF FINANCE (BAND LEVEL 11) Administrative Services - Finance Office Faculty of Medicine (Permanent Position)

DUTIES

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the successful applicant will perform professional work in providing direction in various financial aspects of the Faculty of Medicine. Duties include planning and coordinating activities in the Finance Office; supervising and directing work of the Finance Office staff; creating and monitoring budgets on a continual basis; studying projects, policies and procedures; examining work flow to determine better systems and models to improve workflow and service; conducting internal auditing functions; preparing complex, statistical, fiscal and analytical reports for the COO in accordance with applicable accounting standards; overseeing expenditures and maintenance of financial commitments in both Banner Finance and other accounting software; participating on various committees; providing guidance and finance expertise to Faculty and Staff; collaborating with the Human Resources Office; liaising with the University's Financial and Administrative Services Department as well as finance staff at the Department of Health and Community Services on various issues; and performing other related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience (5-7 years) in financial operations and management; graduation with an undergraduate degree in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting supplemented by a Chartered Professional Accountant designation; or any equivalent combination of experience and training. Proficiency in MS Office (in particular, MS Excel), as well as strong organizational and interpersonal skills are required. Experience in University policies and procedures and funding agency policies as well as Banner Finance are assets.

SALARY: $76,250 - $98,840 per annum (Management and Professional)
