JOB PURPOSE
The Patient Room Aide is responsible for maintaining a clean, hygienic environment and promoting patient comfort.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school graduation or equivalent.
- Must be physically able to work steadily at assigned tasks.
- Ability to attend work on a regular basis.
- Ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Good work record.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Patient Room Aide is responsible for:
- Cleaning patient rooms including dusting, washing furniture, cleaning bathroom fixtures, picking up garbage and making beds
- Ordering and replenishing basic supplies
- Cleaning and disinfecting designated areas including isolation areas
- Ordering, folding, and sorting linen
- Delivering and picking up food trays and nourishments
- Assisting patients as directed by nursing staff
- Transporting or escorting patients
