Job Description:

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced and highly motivated Lead Business Analyst to join our Credit Risk Delivery team. This role will focus on 'x' Valuation Adjustments (xVA) and Capital, driving strategic initiatives and ensuring the accurate and efficient management of delivery processes. As the lead business analyst, you will bridge the gap between business stakeholders, quantitative teams, and technology, ensuring alignment on business needs, regulatory requirements, and technical solutions.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead the business analysis functions for the end-to-end delivery of the 'x' Valuation Adjustment (xVA) and Capital roadmaps in a fast paced, dynamic, and constantly evolving environment

  • Keep abreast of emerging issues, risks, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impacts in alignment with risk appetite

  • Contribute to the end-to-end customer vision and solution while following change management, project-level delivery framework, and governance best practices (e.g. TD Agile: cycle measurements, daily scrums, retrospectives, sprint planning, testing, MVP mapping to releases, requirements package, testing plan)

  • Create and maintain comprehensive delivery management artifacts, as required by governance standards, to achieve business objectives. (Use cases, high-level business requirements, detailed functional specifications, acceptance criteria, use cases, and functional and non-functional test cases)

  • Transform high level vision (target operating model) and complex concepts into solutions with detailed requirements and efficient execution design

  • Work closely with business stakeholders at all levels to understand and execute against business priorities while ensuring a high-level of service to end users and operations is maintained

  • Work with technology partners (e.g. Solution Designers and Architects) to research and analyze current state system capabilities and define technology solutions options and recommendations

  • Create test strategy documents and test plans, perform testing according to test plans, monitor and report on results, and work with others on problem resolution

  • Use negotiation and influencing skills to build consensus amongst diverse stakeholder groups to ensure deliverables are met and our partners, sponsors, and businesses make effective business decisions

  • Develops effective and efficient solutions by researching and analyzing data and requirements, defining opportunities for business process improvements, and making recommendations

  • Ensure initiatives are delivered based on meeting the stated success criteria and product(s) value realization, with explicit consideration to business process, change impacts and the transition from delivery to business as usual

Experience/Skills Required:

  • University or graduate degree in mathematics, finance, or related field

  • Industry certification (e.g. CFA, CSC, FRM) preferred

  • Wholesale Banking, Capital Markets experience, strong understanding of financial markets and credit risk and experience with Derivatives

  • Experience with capital regulations, Capital Adequacy Requirements (CAR) – Chapter 8, Chapter 7 Basel regulations (SA-CVA, BA-CVA, SA-CCR, RWA, EAD), 'x' Valuation Adjustments (ie: CVA, FVA, KVA, etc), Counterparty Credit Risk (ie: PFE – Potential Future Exposure), and P&L attribution trading is an asset

  • 7+ years of experience in business requirement gathering, analysis, business process modeling and documentation within the financial and/or IT industry

  • Strong skills with MS Office products and Visio

  • Effective leader with ability to build relationships and influence all parties across functional teams

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail with great organization skills

  • Strong sense of ownership and customer focus

  • Ability to analyze complex issues, organize and prioritize work, while meeting multiple deadlines and providing strategic recommendations

  • Ability to document requirements and conduct User Acceptance Testing, including designing tests, develop detailed test cases and test plans and documenting results

  • Strong mathematical, analytical, problem solving, and relationship management skills

  • Experience working with REST APIs (ie Postman) and JSON format

  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, background in any programming language will be an advantage

  • Profound end-to-end delivery experience, while working with various teams and levels

  • Flexible and able to quickly adapt to unfamiliar, ambiguous, or changing conditions

  • Experience working with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket)
