Department Overview:

Reporting to the Senior Manager (SM), Colleague Capabilities; this individual will contribute to the strategic development, delivery plan and execution of learning and development programs for Branch Banking colleagues. The Manager, Colleague Capabilities will be part of the Colleague Capabilities workstream, dedicated to building and delivery of programs to elevate Training, Practice Management, Coaching and Recognition as part of the broader team.

Job Description

The general accountabilities of this role include but are not limited to the following:

  • Lead formal learning and development programs o Acts as Pod Lead for ideation and development of training programs for individual contributor (i.e., CEA, PBA, PB) and people manager (BM, ABM, MCE) roles
  • Lead SME engagement through end-to-end development of the training assets and engage key stakeholders
  • Support achievement of key milestones and delivery timelines in partnership with Learning and Development partners, project managers and external vendors
  • Identify and flag any project plan risks for escalation to leadership team
  • Act as SME for Dry Runs and Train the Trainer Sessions to support facilitation team
  • Responsible for tracking and updating Maintenance Log for content that requires updating
  • Oversee established key milestones, timing/sequencing, risk assessment & change management plan for learning and development workstream, in partnership with learning project managers and vendors
  • Branch Banking Training SME: Support BBDE and Product partners with consulting or as a SME to review content to support advice capabilities for Branch Banking colleagues
  • Learning Modality: Ability to develop innovative, engaging, and impactful learning experiences using a variety of modalities including presentations (supporting virtual instruction led training), role plays, observational coaching, job aids, video, and infographic
  • Manage and control for risk: Lead review cycles with SMEs and Product Legal and Compliance partners before handoff to SM to facilitate final approvals
  • Continued Learning Plan: Collaborate with journey teams to develop topical and targeted training to support Branch Banking colleagues
