We're seeking a motivated, results-oriented Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our dynamic sales team. This role involves generating leads, nurturing prospects, and helping to forge long-term partnerships. Our main office is located in Fredericton, New Brunswick, however we welcome applicants for this position who are interested in fully remote, hybrid, or in-office working arrangements.
- Lead Generation: Identify potential clients through targeted outbound prospecting, research, and market analysis.
- Initial Outreach: Establish first contact with prospects via email, phone calls, and social media to generate interest and schedule introductory meetings.
- Qualification: Assess the needs of potential clients, qualify leads, and determine the fit for further engagement.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Account Managers to hand off qualified leads and ensure a seamless transition for deeper relationship building and deal progression.
- Database Management: Maintain accurate records of leads and client interactions in CRM systems (HubSpot/Salesforce).
- Market Insight: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and client needs to fine-tune outreach strategies and enhance the prospecting process.
- Feedback Loop: Provide insights and feedback to marketing and product teams to improve messaging and align solutions with market demands.
- Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Forestry, Environmental Science, or related field preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in a sale, business development, or related role, ideally within the software or technology sector.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Fluent in English.
- Familiarity with CRM tools like Salesforce and HubSpot.
- Goal-oriented and proactive, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Interest in sustainable solutions and knowledge of forestry or natural resource management is a plus.
