Contributes to the overall profitable growth and success Dealer Finance portfolio of the Automotive Finance group in Canada. Acts as inside sales support to Area Sales Managers (ASMs) for existing Dealer and Manufacturer Indirect Retail business portfolios with opportunity to independently manage a portfolio of smaller dealerships. Responsible for achieving both business development and customer satisfaction goals for an assigned market area.
Acts as a trusted advisor to our dealers while increasing the Scotiabank Automotive Finance's volume of bookings by providing exceptional service on a transaction-by-transaction basis and to provide direct support to dealers with ASMs to maximize opportunities within assigned territory. Potential to independently manage a portfolio for RV, Marine, Leisure and Auto dealers in remote areas.
This is a contract position with an anticipated end date in September 2025.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
- Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
- Promote Scotiabank Automotive Finance's value proposition of local sales and best in class underwriting services, consistency in marketplace and strong experienced sales/trusted advisor team
- Proactively calling dealers to follow-up on transactions that have been approved but not booked; assisting in deal resolution
- Conduct post-sale follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction and documentation completion
- Supports ASMs in portfolio management while working closely with Dealer Financing Centre. Responsible for coordinating escalation of transactions to head office roles as required
- Execute an vigorous and high touch calling program on designated customers and prospects within the assigned market area according to agreed upon growth objectives
- Attend RV, Marine and Leisure shows, as are deemed relevant to the local region
- Work with assigned ASMs to educate dealers on policies, procedure and pricing changes
- Monitor dealer performance such as delinquency, losses, profitability and work with assigned ASMs to deliver/manage key metrics with dealers
- Conduct administrative activities related to Scotia Dealer Rewards, dealer pricing exception requests, ad-hoc reporting for the assigned portfolio and other activities
- Participate in local professional and community events and associations to develop and expand network of dealer and center of influence contacts
- Updating client or contact information accurately and in a timely fashion
- Complete key reports and analytical work to support sales portfolio as requested by Regional Sales Manager
- Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:
- Undergraduate degree in business or work equivalency
- 2-3 years of professional working experience
- Experience with lending systems and loan application software
- Prior sales experience in the automotive industry experience considered an asset
- Proficient in MS Outlook/Excel/Word/PowerPoint, and Salesforce
- Expert level of knowledge in consumer credit and risk analysis with complementary skills in B2B sales/relationship management for auto financing
