The opportunity
We are looking for someone to join our team for approximately 20 months to cover a maternity leave. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about EY's insurance programs and the role the global insurance team plays in protecting the EY organization, to enhance your understanding of EY's global footprint, and to use your technology and organization skills to impact the future operations of the insurance team.
Your key responsibilities
Responsible for managing the captive's data systems:
- Including SharePoint expertise: responsible for developing content and maintaining the captive's SharePoint sites. Enhances functionality of SharePoint sites with customized solutions to address team's specific data storage, retrieval, and analysis needs. Subject matter expert responsible for supporting all team members use of the site. Actively contribute towards an ongoing project to upgrade the team's claims management system.
Coordinates BRIDGE compliance reviews:
- Ensures that all captive relationships are appropriately reviewed and documented
- Coordinates renewals of BRIDGE for all insurers/reinsurers on all insurance programs, including all fronting insurers. This involves managing the relationship directly with our external suppliers.
- Reviews responses/inquiries from GDS, member firm leadership, and insurance brokers
- Escalates issues with BRIDGE submissions to appropriate persons in leadership
Coordinates Sanctions reviews:
- Ensures that all captive relationships, payments, and claim notifications are appropriately screened
- Reviews reports from sanctions screening tool, successfully identifying and escalating issues where required
- Responsible for the yearly review of citizenship for staff, directors, and officers
P&C Program Claims Management:
- Reviews materials received from member firms, insurance companies and claims adjusters and enters into Risk Console/SharePoint, escalating any issues of concern to Director
- Enters reserve requests into Risk Console for approvals
- Reconciles all claims data with external providers; Allianz (quarterly) and Sedgwick (monthly)
- Prepares reinsurer invoicing packages and manages reinsurance collections (twice yearly)
Captive Support:
- Maintains and troubleshoots compliance tool (Archer); responsible for all required reporting
- Analyses claims reimbursement data identifying trends and any issues
- Takes on miscellaneous data related projects and analyses
- Manages access to systems (shared email inboxes, SharePoint, CMT, file servers)
Investment Compliance
- Reviews work completed by GDS including; ISINs in GMS to make sure securities held in the captive investments are allowed by the Investment Management Agreements, reporting on investments to ensure accuracy of data and quarterly investment information from Financial Support Workings
Skills and attributes for success
The successful candidate for this role will be highly organized, have excellent attention to detail, be self-motivated, be able to manage competing demands and deadlines, and have a natural curiosity that will encourage innovation.
To qualify for the role you must have
- University Degree level of education
- Deep technology skills, including the ability to full leverage and utilize MS office, SharePoint, analytics, and other tools and technologies
- Advanced Excel capabilities
- Data analysis and presentation skills
- Ability to understand complex situations and subjects sufficient to enable their swift management
Ideally, you'll also have
- Insurance training or experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience dealing with senior members of the business internally as well as managing relationships with external stakeholders
- Attention to detail and ability to produce high quality and succinct work products, document
- Experience assisting team members with technology challenges
