Plant 1 & 2 - Production

Salary Range: $21.08 to $38.75 Hourly

Oxford Food Group has an opportunity for a Maintenance Supervisor, located in Oxford, NS. The position reports to the Maintenance Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance strategies.
  • Work closely with the Maintenance, Plant, and Production Managers, Engineering, and other teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Assign tasks and oversee the maintenance team, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
  • Provide training, coaching, and constructive feedback to support team growth and skill development.
  • Assist with maintenance tasks when needed to keep operations running smoothly.
  • Identify and resolve issues through independent and collaborative root cause analysis.
  • Implement actions to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability.
  • Plan and schedule both short- and long-term maintenance, aligning with plant priorities.
  • Lead initiatives that enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Ensure open communication across departments, promoting a collaborative work environment.

Qualification & Experience

  • Postsecondary education in trades, technology or engineering is preferred.
  • Red Seal in any mechanical related trade would also be considered an asset
  • Comprehensive knowledge of WHMIS, HACCP and LOTO would be considered an asset.
  • Strong computer literacy would be considered an asset.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in an industrial environment
  • Supervisory experience would be considered an asset.
  • Experience working in food manufacturing would be considered an asset.
