The Senior Manager, Regulatory Programs and Initiatives will be part of the Enterprise Risk Team in Global Risk Management reporting to the Director, Regulatory Programs and Initiatives. The Senior Manager will work with the Director to design and implement regulatory programs for the Global Risk Management (GRM) function.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Lead and drive a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the programs under GRM Regulatory Programs and Initiatives, including the GRM Regulatory Compliance Management Program and the GRM Regulatory Reporting Target Operating Model Program.
  • Provide GRM teams with support as it relates to Regulatory Program and Initiative requirements.
  • Monitor best practices at other financial institutions in Canada and globally.
  • Collaborate with other internal stakeholders across the three lines of defense.
  • Drive stakeholder engagement, management, and alignment.
  • Provide ongoing communication and interface with Program stakeholders; ensures timely reporting of status and escalation of issues.
  • Manage required changes to scope/deliverables, schedules, resources, and budgets; ensure changes follow proper Change Management Process.
  • Complete additional accountabilities as required.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of relevant risk, audit and or professional practice management experience in the financial services industry
  • Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree and/or professional designations (e.g., CFA or FRM) would be an asset.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Power BI etc.) preferred. Expert skills would be an asset (ability to build macros, build advanced tools and workflows in SharePoint, etc)
  • Prior exposure to a control environment in risk management, compliance, or audit
  • Sound knowledge of regulatory landscape and reporting expectations for the financial services industry within Canada
  • Project management and change management experience would be advantageous
  • Experience working in a team environment with proven ability to provide guidance, objective thinking and collaboration
  • Excellent interpersonal, relationship building and written/verbal communication skills
  • Spanish and/or French language fluency would be an asset
