Demands, duties, qualifications
Job Summary
Reporting to the Director - Facilities and Infrastructure Support, Biomedical Engineering, Housing & Leasing, and Quality, the Infrastructure Support Operations and Process Improvement Manager will be a leader within Facilities and Support Services in the Eastern Rural Zone and will be responsible for ensuring facilities, services and departments meet provincial and national safety and quality standards.
The Infrastructure Support Operations and Process Improvement Manager is responsible for ensuring Facilities and Support Services staff follow current policies and operating procedures, ensure equipment is properly serviced and up to date, and ensure building maintenance meets quality standards. The Standards Compliance Manager will also lead quality and process improvement initiatives to achieve cost savings and system improvements.
The Infrastructure Support Operations and Process Improvement Manager works collaboratively with team leads and the management team to achieve departmental and program objectives. The Standards Compliance Manager also collaborates and fosters relationships with cross functional teams to ensure department needs are maintained and deviations are analyzed, and to enhance overall organization and efficiency.
Job Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree is required. Engineering degree in process, quality or mechanical engineering is required.
Certificates in project and change management would be considered an asset.
Experience
Experience working within a healthcare environment managing and developing a quality management system in facilities support.
Experience in a management/leadership role is required.
Experience leading process and quality improvement initiatives is required.
Experience in change and project management is required.
Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
Knowledge of Accreditation Canada, CSA, and other health and safety standards and best practices.
Knowledge of budget preparation and analysis, building codes, and mechanical and electrical systems.
Knowledge of quality improvement principles, human resource management, change management and fiscal management.
Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a high pressure, diverse and changing environment.
Demonstrated strong computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills.

Based site will be a location within the Eastern Rural Zone.
Travel throughout the Eastern Rural Zone is required.
Participation in a regular, on-call rotation may be required.
