Job Summary
The Trades Worker II (Refrigeration Mechanic) is a journeyperson level position that performs skilled work in the maintenance alteration, construction, and repair of sterilizers, refrigeration systems and other mechanical equipment. Work may also may involve welding, soldering and blue print reading and performing other related duties as required.

Constantly lifts, carries or moves objects up to 11 lbs, regularly between 11 - 44 lbs and occasionally over 44 lbs.
Regularly requires physical effort using tools that require accurate control and steadiness; maintaining physical balance, standing, walking, climbing, using gross and fine motor skills, and working in awkward or cramped positions requiring strength and/or endurance.
Work is impacted by time pressures/deadlines, interruptions and lack of control over work pace as priorities change, services being interrupted, etc.
Job Qualifications
Graduation from High School or equivalent.
Successful completion of a Journeyperson's Certificate in Refrigeration Mechanics.
A minimum of three years of experience as a Refrigeration Mechanic is required.
Demonstrated strong time management, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required.
