The successful candidate will be immersed in all things credit.

As a Senior Learning Experience Designer you will work closely with the Manager, Learning Program Design to conduct needs analysis, recommend and develop learning solutions to support aspects of credit adjudication, including underwriter credit acumen, risk tolerance and policy interpretation

In this multi-functional role, you will have a national mandate to be engaged in a variety of initiatives designed to support our partners across the credit centers in Markham, Edmonton, Ottawa, Montreal and Vancouver.

Role Accountability

  • Design high quality, multi-approach blended learning and performance solutions on a variety of learning programs that supports business strategic priorities, enable people strategies and impact key business measures.
  • Build solid relationships with partners to ensure open communication, via active participation in meetings/working sessions to ensure credit risk interests are being e?ectively managed
  • Act as a subject matter expert with both practical and technical expertise in all areas of content design and development applying adult learning principles and leading industry best practices
  • Lead out on project scoping and planning, setting the standards for the learner experience that will enable learning objectives to be satis?ed
  • Ensure learner accessibility and principles of diversity and inclusion in developing a variety of online learning solutions (i.e., eBooks, graphic rich deliverables, eLearning/simulation, online performance support tools, etc.) leveraging established standards and templates where possible
  • Collaborate with business and functional partners to attain a good understanding of project, program and curriculum needs
  • Participate fully as a member of the team, support a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, quality, innovation and teamwork and ensure timely communication of issues/ points of interest
  • Support the team by continuously enhancing knowledge / expertise in own area and participate in knowledge transfer within the team and business unit
  • Keep current on emerging trends/ developments and grow knowledge of the business, related tools and techniques. Participate in personal performance management and development activities, including cross training within our own team
  • Keep others informed and up to date about the status / progress of projects and / or all relevant or useful information related to day-to-day activities
  • Contribute to the success of the team by willingly assisting others in the completion and performance of work activities; provide training, coaching and/or guidance as appropriate. Contribute to a fair, positive and equitable environment that supports a diverse workforce
Department Overview

CPB Operations and Strategy is a business group comprising of Credit Operations, Money In Customer Service (MICS), Shared Services, Transformation, Strategy & Colleague Experience and Credit Practice Management, with colleagues located across Canada (Vancouver, Edmonton, Markham, Mississauga, Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal). We collaborate closely with business partners to deliver a legendary experience to the distribution teams and

customers. Our mandate is to be the best Credit Team by delivering best in class service and advice, while operating within the business' credit risk appetite and regulatory framework.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree/Advanced Degree in Instructional Design, Adult Education, Educational Technology or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Instructional Design.
  • Proven experience in instructional design, preferably in a Financial Institution.
  • Pro?cient in Microsoft applications including Excel, Visio and Power Point
  • Pro?cient in Adobe Creative Suite, and eLearning authoring tools such as Storyline360 and RISE360, as well as video development tools such as Powtoon.
  • Previous experience developing presentation and communication materials for senior management at all levels
  • Strong strategic collaboration skills in working with SMEs for content creation, training adaptation, and validation.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
  • A strong focus on attention to detail to produce high quality, accurate and timely deliverables to meet deadlines
  • Ability to problem solve, in?uence and negotiate to deliver results
  • Proficient with Accessibility requirements for all training development for in-person, virtual, and self-study delivery. Including the use of tools such as Jaws.
