Salary Range: $2,454.00 to $3,776.00 bi-weekly based on the experience and level of post-secondary education.
You will be collaborating with and reporting to the Academic Chair of Building and Construction, and a member of the faculty team. You will be responsible for the planning and preparation of instructional materials and resources; establishing and managing a positive learning environment; instructing and evaluating students; building and sustaining professional relationships with students, colleagues, community partners, and stakeholders; as well as other related duties.
Specific instructional areas and courses within the program may include but are not limited to:
- Flow controls and accessories
- Air-conditioning, refrigeration
- Electrical
- Blueprint reading fundamentals
- Refrigerants and oils
- Specialty tools and equipment
- Safety
- Motors and compressors
- Valves and piping
- Installations
- Trade-related mathematics.
The successful candidate will teach in all 4 blocks of the apprenticeship program. The successful incumbent will be willing and able to integrate technology and active student learning techniques into teaching practices.
Education & Experience:
- Certificate of Qualification as a Journeyperson (Red Seal) in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
- A working knowledge of MS Office is required.
- Preference may be given to candidates who have a minimum of three (3) years of related, recent work experience at the Journeyperson's level.
- Preference may be given to candidates who have experience teaching in a post-secondary environment in a blended delivery format.

Other combinations of education and experience may be considered as equivalent. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be raised.
