The Head of Marketing is a senior strategic position responsible for shaping and driving the go-to-market and growth strategies within Canada's higher education sector. Based in downtown Fredericton along the scenic Saint John River, this role combines market strategy with customer journey optimization to make a significant impact on UFred's expansion goals. We are looking for a strategic leader with a proven track record in marketing, sales, and data-driven growth, ready to lead cross-functional teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Strategic Market Planning and Execution

  • Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy tailored to the Canadian higher education market, setting and managing growth targets and efficiency metrics.
  • Collaborate with product development to adapt solutions to the Canadian audience, ensuring alignment with market demands and trends.

Customer Journey Management

  • Own the customer journey for UFred, optimizing from initial engagement through to enrollment.
  • Implement targeted strategies across acquisition funnels to maximize conversion and retention.

Data-Driven Growth Strategy

  • Use data analysis to prioritize and refine growth initiatives, continuously optimizing based on performance metrics.
  • Monitor trends and competitive insights, making necessary adjustments to remain competitive in the market.

Campaign and Team Management

  • Work closely with performance marketing and sales teams to create and execute campaigns that drive demand and generate leads.
  • Manage budgets, allocate resources, and lead a high-performing team to meet revenue and growth objectives.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in marketing, sales, or business development within Canada's higher education or a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Strong data and analytical skills, with a demonstrated ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Leadership experience with a track record of building and managing successful teams.
  • Proficiency with marketing automation tools, CRM systems, and sales technologies.

Hours of Work

This is a fulltime permanent position (35 hours) under regular business hours. The position is located in Fredericton, NB with the possibility to work remotely from anywhere in New Brunswick, and attend in-office meetings, as required. The ideal candidate should reside in New Brunswick or is willing to relocate.
