Ability NB is seeking a passionate, highly motivated and creative provincial Transition Planner- Team Lead. We offer our employees a gold standard health and dental package, 3 weeks paid vacation, time off over the Christmas season, and a matching RRSP contribution plan for up to 3% of your salary.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation, management, supervision and evaluation of Ability NB's Transition NB program which assists youth with a mobility disability to make the successful transition to training, post-secondary education and/or employment. The Team Lead is the provincial point of contact for the program and provides daily operational oversight of a one-on-one transition planning service for youth with a mobility disability and an interactive social media platform for youth with a disability. The Team Lead may also work directly with a roster of youth with a mobility disability.
The successful applicant must possess the following qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Social Sciences, Business Administration or a related field
- Minimum of one year of experience in employee management, leadership and coaching
- Excellent organizational, time-management, communication, relationship building, writing, public speaking & facilitation skills
- A knowledge of and passion for disability issues
- Extensive knowledge of employment resources as well as the education & post-secondary education systems
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office & social media
- Previous experience working with persons with a disability, youth and in vocational coaching are assets
- Bilingual ability in English and French is an asset
Salary: $53,000 to $59,000 + benefit package. Valid driver's license, travel and use of own vehicle is required. Criminal record check and vulnerable sector check required.
