About the Role
The Director, Architecture, Cybersecurity and Data Management, is responsible for the establishment and ongoing evolution of the enterprise architecture practice and framework. As part of the framework, the incumbent will oversee the development of current state documentation and the modelling of transition and future state conceptual and logical architecture models.

The role will provide strategic leadership to the Manager, Enterprise Security and Information Management (ESIM) regarding the WCB's information management and security practices, policies, standards and processes; ensuring that these adhere to privacy legislation and industry best practices.

The Director is accountable to produce monthly KPIs and Dashboards for the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) regarding the effectiveness and risks associated with Enterprise Architecture, Information Management and Cybersecurity operations and initiatives. These may include (but are not limited to) vulnerability aging, security incidents, cybersecurity (NIST) maturity, project status and data quality metrics. The Director may be called upon to present the security dashboard/metrics and security Incident Reports to Senior Executives and the Board of Directors.

The Director is part of the Leadership Team of Directors and as such is responsible for collaboratively managing the overall efficient operation of the WCB, including the responsibility for the implementation of the WCB's multi-year strategic plans and annual corporate plans as well as developing, managing and reporting on corporate performance measures.

The role is also a key member of the CTO leadership team and participates in the development of the long-term vision and strategic planning for the organization. The incumbent advises the CTO of the technology implications to achieve business objectives and helps to translate business strategies into IT investments and technology migration plans. The Director will analyse the technology industry and market trends to determine potential impacts on the enterprise and provides architectural direction to enable the organization to leverage innovation by capitalizing on emerging opportunities

Your Experience & Skills

  • Graduation from university with a degree in the information technology, business, or engineering plus completion of industry recognized professional programs in management/executive development.
  • A minimum of 10 years related experience with a minimum of seven (7) years' experience in progressively responsible leadership positions.
  • TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework), CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional) or CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) certifications are considered assets.
  • Experience in project management is required.

We offer a competitive compensation package ranging from $115,719 - $144,651.
