Position: Professor of Computer Science

Position Overview:
The Faculty of Computer Science at UFred is seeking passionate and experienced educators to join our team. This role involves designing and delivering online coursework (asynchronous) that engages and challenges students, equipping them with the knowledge and skills required in the dynamic field of computer science.
- Develop and deliver high-quality, online courses in computer science that align with UFred's mission and standards.
- Foster an inclusive, supportive, and engaging virtual learning environment.
- Utilize innovative teaching methods and digital tools to enhance the student learning experience.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to support student progress and success.
- Collaborate with academic teams to continuously improve curriculum and course materials.
- Establish and maintain a research program in their respective field.
- PhD in Computer Science or a closely related field.
- Proven experience teaching in an online setting is highly desirable.
- Strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion within both the classroom and the institution.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage a diverse online student population.

Location
The position is located in Fredericton, NB with the possibility to work remotely from anywhere in New Brunswick, and attend in-office meetings, as required. The ideal candidate should reside in New Brunswick or is willing to relocate.
