Who you are

You have a worked in finance for a minimum of 5 years. You have demonstrated proficiency in data tables, analytical applications, statistical analysis, advanced spreadsheet application, General Accounting Principles and PSAS Financial Statement presentation.

University degree in Business Administration or a related field with a minimum of 5 years related worked experience.

An accounting designation is preferred but not required. A background in computer science would also be considered an asset.

Written and spoken competence in English is required at an advanced level.

What you will do

The Senior Financial Analyst prepares financial reports using a variety of accounting structures and systems (includes Meditech, Unicom Budget and Reporting System, Power BI and Data Watch); conducts detailed analysis of trends, risks and opportunities; interprets complex financial information for a variety of different audiences both internal and external to the organization; and provides strategic and data driven insights to support decision making.

Duties:

• Internal Reporting: Prepares monthly and annual financial reports for the CEO and Executive Leadership Team(ELT) that provide an overview of the financial position.
• External Reporting: Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports to the Department of Health(DOH)
• System Administrator of Executive Support System and back up administrator for the Unicom System
• Specialized Reporting: Prepares adhoc reports that may be requested internally by Board, CEO and ELT or externally by DOH, Auditor General, Statistics Canada, or the public by way of the Right to Information(RTI) legislation.
