The Office of the Auditor General, located in Fredericton, is an independent office that serves the New Brunswick Legislative Assembly. The Auditor General assists the Legislative Assembly in holding the government accountable by reporting on government's performance and stewardship of public funds and resources. The findings of financial and performance audits are issued in the Auditor General's annual report to the Legislative Assembly and through appearances before the Standing Committees on Public Accounts and Crown Corporations.
The Office of the Auditor General is seeking dynamic, results-oriented professionals to join our performance auditing team. Reporting to the Executive Director of Performance Audit, individuals will be responsible to:
- assess the economy, efficiency, and effectiveness of government programs
- provide expert advice on complex issues affecting government
- report on government's compliance with legislation, policies, and best practices
- ensure the effective management of human and financial resources

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
The candidate must:
- possess a relevant university degree from a recognized post-secondary institution
- have a minimum of *3 years of relevant work experience
Additional qualifications that are not requirements of this position, but would be considered assets are:
- a relevant Canadian professional designation
- experience working in the New Brunswick public sector
- expertise in program evaluation, performance improvement, and/or change management
*A combination of relevant education, experience and background may be considered. Experience requirements will vary based on applicable pay bands.
Written and spoken competence in English required.

SALARY
Pay Band 5-7 of the Management and Non-Union Pay Plan $64,974-$109,486 annually, depending on education and experience.
