Summary

Position: Social Media Specialist, The Social, Bell Media, Non-mgmt
Job Status: Regular - Full Time
Location: 299 Queen St W. Toronto
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week. Overtime as required

For someone who has bold ideas about how best to create digital content and finds it thrilling to bring that content to life for an established brand. Key Responsibilities
  • Take a leadership role in designing The Social's overall social media strategy
  • Conceptualize, create and post engaging and informative content that reflects the editorial tone of the show's brand on all of The Social's social media platforms
  • Work with the brand partnerships producer to organize and execute engaging original branded content, contests and other brand partnership initiatives
  • Stay current on social media trends, and pitch and execute new ideas and strategies that keep The Social's social media accounts relevant and growing
  • Create comprehensive analytics reports and confidently present findings to members of the show's senior leadership team. Use findings to inform digital strategy
  • Work in partnership with other digital team members to ensure that our online community is engaged and well served
  • Communicate regularly with the production team in order to ensure that broadcast and digital content are aligned
  • Maintain an understanding of our community moderation guidelines and take action, when appropriate
  • Other duties as assigned
Critical Qualifications
  • 3-5 years relevant experience in a professional context/setting
  • Experience with community management platforms and analytics tools
  • In-depth knowledge of the social media landscape
  • Strong writing skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to use a variety of creative software/programs
  • Enthusiastic interest in and considerable knowledge of pop culture, current affairs and entertainment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to work on a tight deadline in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong editorial judgment
  • Willingness to train on new programs, as required

Work Arrangement: Full-time in office (meaning that you will be required to perform your work on-site)
