(Contractual Position to February 13, 2026)

DUTIES

The Revenue Cashier will play a pivotal role in ensuring positive interactions with the customers. Under the supervision of the Senior Staff Accountant, the successful applicant will provide exceptional customer service and perform revenue cashiering functions, accounting, and related clerical processes contributing to the smooth operation of the Cashier's Office within the Department of Financial and Administrative Services. Duties include providing customer support; responding promptly to queries from students, faculty, staff, and outside agencies; guiding customers through specific steps to resolve their concerns, ensuring a seamless experience; completing financial transactions; processing financial payment transactions accurately and efficiently; maintaining records of incoming payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance; allocating funds appropriately to student and staff accounts; reporting and documentation; preparing various reports including, but not limited to, daily cash reconciliations and bank deposits; issuing student account summary documentation upon request; keying accounting entries; preparing and maintaining accounting entries; ensuring accurate recording of financial data; and performing other related duties as required. The successful incumbent will also be responsible for collaborating and building relationship with internal and external stakeholders; establishing and nurturing effective working relationships with colleagues, students and external partners; and collaborating with other departments to enhance the overall customer experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience (1-3 years) in administrative position(s) involving a high level of front facing customer service; completion of a two-year business program from a recognized post-secondary institution is required; or an equivalent combination of experience and training will be considered. Experience with accounting tasks; handling, receiving, allocating and maintaining records of incoming payments is required. The successful candidate is expected to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as be proficient in the Microsoft Office suite. Familiarity with Banner Finance and/or Banner Student systems would be considered an asset. Additional required characteristics include having a continuous improvement mindset, being friendly, a team player, and the ability to thrive in a busy environment.

SALARY $49,308 - $57,841 per annum (CUPE Local 1615)
