Department of Facilities Management
(1 Year Contractual Position)
DUTIES
The successful applicant will be responsible for planning, assigning, and supervising the work of employees engaged in the care and cleaning of buildings and facilities. Duties include planning, assigning, scheduling, and inspecting the work of custodial employees; providing direct supervision to custodial staff on assigned shift; performing a variety of requisitioning activities to ensure that cleaning equipment, supplies and materials are available and maintaining an inventory of same; estimating appropriate inventory levels for shift requirements; requisitioning work clothing and safety equipment provided to custodial staff; acting as liaison with external cleaning services providers for off-campus sites; and performing other related duties as required.
A flexible work schedule is required; weekend shifts include Saturdays and Sundays from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.; and weekday shifts include Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Weekday shifts are subject to change based on operational needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience (3-5 years) in custodial work including considerable supervisory experience; graduation from high school; or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
SALARY $62,594 - $93,886 per annum (Management and Professional)
