Position: Mechanical Support Technician
Location: 2164 Buckingham, Oakville, ON
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience
Hours of Work: Full Time. Overtime as required

Responsibilities
  • Provide millwright services to our fleet mobile production facilities and building facilities
  • Be highly skilled at working with metal and wood with a strong attention to detail
  • Provide skilled attention for repair and/or improvements for the mechanical aspects of Dome's production facilities
  • Attend to routine maintenance and repair for production facility doors, hatches, bunkers, interior desks and fixtures
  • Actively support the Manager of Maintenance and Maintenance Leads in meeting priority agenda for timely repairs and attention
  • Evaluate and support solutions that provide effective and complete attention to address identified deficiencies
  • Maintain an organized and safe working environment that aligns with Dome/Bell practices and policies
  • Participate and support service request logging and documentation including pertinent information for record keeping
  • Provide mechanical attention in support of repairs and/or improvements for camera tripod equipment
  • Maintain and support an organized and stocked supply for common parts and materials consistent with common activities
  • Although electrical work isn't required an understanding of DC and AC installations would be a strong benefit
Qualifications
  • Demonstrable knowledge and skill for working with power tools, metal cutting equipment, drill press, and custom tools where required
  • Minimum of 5 years relative experience
  • Effective skills in communicating issues, impact and resolution steps
  • Commitment to supporting safe work practices and environment
  • Commitment to providing quality solutions within reasonable value
  • Skilled in common computer productivity software (MS Office)
Additional Requirements
  • Ability to travel within North America
  • Must hold a valid Canadian driver's license
  • Required to work weekdays, evenings and/or weekends as assigned
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment and deal with emergencies as they arise

Position Type: Non Management Job Status: Regular - Full Time Job Location: Canada : Ontario : Oakville
Work Arrangement: Full-time in office (meaning that you will be required to perform your work on-site)
