Job Posting DetailsPosition: Segment Producer Live Programming, The Social, Bell Media
Job Status: Temporary - Full time | 12 months contract
Location: 299 Queen Street West, Toronto (Ontario)
Salary: Group E - Commensurate with qualifications and experience
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week | Overtime as required
- Generating interesting, original and current story ideas and angles for a live daily talk/lifestyle show and special features
- Superior skills planning and executing unique in-studio segments
- Finding and booking the best possible guests and locations for each show
- Researching and writing comprehensive research packs that lead to original and cohesive lines of questioning
- Monitor and stay abreast of news/current events, lifestyle, entertainment & pop culture
- Superior skills planning and executing field pieces
- Creativity and an ability to showcase humour
- Ability to direct a shoot for the best possible visuals
- 2 - 3 years of proven experience as a Field or Segment Producer
- Experience in generating story ideas and writing scripts
- Experience working in an edit suite
- Strong knowledge and passion of news/current events, lifestyle, pop culture, social issues, entertainment and music
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines of several simultaneous duties, while maintaining focus and composure
- Excellent communication skills – oral and written
- Ability to work well in a team and be self-motivated, positive attitude a must
