The Team
We are looking for a Software Engineer for the Group Treasury Technology (GTT) IT group in support of the Liquidity & Funding mgmt. businesses.
Is this role right for you? In this role you will:
- Works closely with customers, Business Analysts, and team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions.
- Involved in the full systems life cycle and is responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing, and supporting applications software that is delivered on time and within budget.
- Makes recommendations towards the development of new code or reuse of existing code.
- Responsibilities may also include participation in component and data architecture design, performance monitoring and product evaluation.
- Provides guidance and training to less experienced analysts and programmers.
- Provides front-line application support and coordination when application problems occur.
- Participates in the evaluation of production logs and System Service Requests of high complexity and identifies actions to be taken to accomplish successful resolution to problem logs and deployment of new enhancements to the field.
- Assists in Integrated System Test (IST) by supporting the test plan, test case validation and execution.
- Provides the production support of global FI REPO trading platform
- Liaisons with external vendors, product users, operations staff, technical support groups and other development teams in all phases of development project activities and production support activities.
- Design and build data visualizations, dashboard and reports using software tools including but not limited to Power BI & SQL Server Reporting Services.
- Design and develop reports, dashboards, KPI Scorecards and other analytical assets.
- Create and maintain interactive data visualization through data interpretation and analyses, integrating various reporting components from multiple data sources.
- Create new methods to visualize core business metrics through reports, interactive dashboards, and analysis in Power BI
- Work as part of a team to design, develop and deploy systems with configuration for different client data and business rules.
- Build back-end solutions of views/models to be consumed by other BI Developers or business users, as well as customer facing front end reporting models/visualizations.
- Devise and deliver testing plans and testing data to validate BI solutions
- Coordinate user testing for acceptance of BI solutions
- Deploy and Validate BI solutions ensuring changes following appropriate Change and Release Management processes
- Support and enhance of existing reports and dashboards based on evolving business needs
- Assist in facilitating hands-on sessions in prioritizing user-stories, designing analytical approaches, running experiments, and assessing data product performance.
- Assisting in the discovery of business stakeholder analytical and reporting challenges and requirements
- Collect, interpret and analyse large data sets using software packages including but not limited to SQL Server, Power BI, SSRS, SSIS to identify patters and trends that can be used to increase efficiency of business units internally within the company.
- Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements and design custom ETL and ELT processes in support of these processes
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:
- 5+ years experience in the design and implementation of BI solutions
- 5+ years SSRS experience
- 5+ years SSIS experience
- 5+ years Power BI/Power Apps/ Power Automate experience
- 5+ years SQL Server DB & Query development
- Demonstrated experience in applying UI/UX and visualization design principles
Nice To Have Skills:
- 2+ years' experience with Python is an asset
- 2+ years working with cloud-based platform (Azure, PCF or GCP)
- Hands-on experience in Cloud Microservice and MicroApp development
