Position Overview:

The City of Saint John is seeking to recruit a highly skilled, team orientated and motivated Skilled Worker to join our Transportation & Environment Services team. The incumbent will work in a multi-facetted department responsible for maintaining various outdoor and indoor facilities as well as trees, parks, horticultural gardens and landscape construction. A valid Class 5 Driver's License is required. Class 3E would be an asset.

Applicants must possess a minimum of one year post-secondary education. A Diploma or Degree in Horticulture and/or Arboriculture or a related discipline would be a definite asset and is essential for advancement in the career development system. The aptitude to learn and to adapt to new workplace technologies, and the ability to develop in the municipal public service is essential.
