The Opportunity

As a dynamic and creative member of the Strategic Communications & Public Affairs Team, you will play an integral role in the implementation of Newfoundland Power's community relations and investment strategy, foster strong relationships with key community partners, and support a wide range of communications and marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the community investment program, including partnerships, sponsorships, donations and development of engagement opportunities.
  • Plan and attend community events and corporate sponsored activities.
  • Maintain, update and monitor the company's website and social media platforms.
  • Design visually compelling content for social media, website and marketing materials.

Your qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations, Business, Marketing and/or Digital Communications or a related discipline, with a minimum of three years' experience. You are a self-starter with strong writing and graphic design skills, a proven ability to plan and execute effective communications and marketing campaigns, excellent time management skills to manage multiple projects and priorities to meet tight deadlines and thrive in a collaborative team environment. You are a creative, motivated individual with strong analytical and organizational skills who builds positive partnerships. You must demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of social media, graphic design, and web/social media content management.
