The Operations Analyst is responsible for supporting the Coordinator of Maintenance in the areas of financial and operations management. This includes leadership and oversight in the implementation, tracking and reporting of contracts within the department to ensure that schools are receiving highest achievable service levels. The Operations Analyst will monitor performance against contracts, service requirements and utilities and identify issues throughout Operations that impact efficiency. Providing client support and liaising with service providers on behalf of the Halifax Regional Centre for Education, the Operations Analyst will collaborate with staff from other educational and government institutions, and reports directly to the Coordinator of Maintenance.

Qualifications

a) University degree in business or equivalent competency obtained through training and experience;

b) Minimum 3 years experience in contract/project management; and

c) Minimum 3 years recent experience using financial software for analysis;

d) Experience in capital project planning, management and software considered an asset;

e) Public sector experience and/or knowledge of public sector funding considered an asset.

Salary: This is a PEG (Professional Employees Group) position with an annual salary on the Pay Band 6 ranging from $58,177 to $72,720 Professional Employees Group (PEG) Terms and Conditions of Employment apply.
