Reports to: Director, Human Resources or designate
Location: Office of the Superintendent
Summary of Accountabilities:
- Work in a school district office performing some independent tasks and is supervised for progress and results
- Ability to perform procedural work routines through the application of different yet standardized methods is required
- There is some scope for decision-making in accordance with established procedures
- Ability to manage high volume workload in a busy environment with ever changing priorities
- Commitment to customer service and providing exceptional support to the employees within out district, our candidates, our team and our partners in other departments
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitive information
- Duties include:
- Responding to employee and candidate inquiries (emails, phone calls, in-person appointments)
- Providing support to employees in any area of HR/Payroll
- Providing support to HR/Payroll streams, supporting internal team members with a variety of administrative tasks and projects
- Researching and compiling statistical data for reports
- Maintain databases, spreadsheets and files
- Data entry, scheduling appointments, booking meetings/events and making travel arrangements
- Operating a full range of office equipment
- Create correspondence as required
- Other duties may be assigned from time to time as may become necessary to the operation of the district office
Qualifications:
- Graduation from high school supplemented by postsecondary training, typically a one-year program in a related field
- Minimum of three years' related work experience
- A combination of education and experience may be considered
- Experience using Oracle Fusion or Frontline Absence Management systems would be considered an asset – other HR or Payroll system experience would also be considered an asset (please note any related system experience in your application)
