The successful candidate will be a confident salesperson responsible for developing a new advertiser portfolio with client direct relationships to sell integrated sales proposals for Radio and Digital focusing on MOVE, VIRGIN and AM 1150 radio stations in Kelowna.
- Identify and develop advertising direct client contacts.
- Provide exceptional customer service by proactively building and managing client relationships.
- Presenting and selling business solutions with a multi-media platform focus to new and existing accounts.
- "Super Serve" all accounts with the utmost of integrity and professionalism, with the goal to assist them with achieving results and moving their business forward.
- Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets and co-ordinate internally with our local and regional sales teams.
- Participate in weekly meetings as required, and provide weekly sales planning and reporting as required.
- Liaise effectively with all sales support functions, including Sales Assistants, Production, Promotions, Programming, Traffic, Creative and Digital.
- Participate in industry and community activities related to the position.
- Work with the company's core values of Integrity, Creativity, Respect, and Teamwork.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Post secondary education in Sales or Marketing, or a related field is a definite asset.
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in a sales related field in a similar size market, with a proven track record of achievement and increasing sales.
- Strong presentation and negotiating skills combined with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work under pressure of deadlines and last minutes revisions.
- Demonstrated success in handling and influencing key decision makers with a highly developed client service focus.
- Possess strategic skills for prospecting and handling a high volume of cold calling.
- Excellent problem solving and decision making skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Practical computer knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point).
- Preferred qualification experience working with Sales Force, Lens and Wide Orbit.
- Must demonstrate high energy, enthusiasm, motivation and confidence.
- Valid drivers license and clean abstract.
