As part of the Attraction & Retention team, the Human Resources Officer is responsible to collaborate with clients and lead talent acquisition processes to build a workforce that is passionate and committed to offering the best customer experience, ensuring energy security and accelerating a sustainable clean energy transition.

The key responsibilities are:

  • Timely execution of all internal and external staffing processes in compliance with relevant legislation, collective agreements, policies and processes. These activities include items such as preparing job ads, identifying selection criteria, conducting screening, chairing qualifications appraisal boards, conducting assessments, verifying qualifications and making employment offers.
  • Responding to inquiries from senior management, union, employees and the public concerning topics such as but not limited to: recruitment policies, procedures, processes, job applications, applicant candidacy and labour market information.
  • Completing process related documentation such as memorandums, recommendations, offer letters, process metrics and other recruitment related documentation.

Our ideal teammate will have:

  • A Post-secondary degree or diploma in a field relevant to Human Resources such as: business, social / behavioural sciences or other relevant concentration
  • Five years of relevant recruiting experience
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office software products or similar computer applications
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License

In addition to the above qualifications, the candidate must also be a strong team player, demonstrate the ability to multi-task, work under pressure in a fast-paced customer-focused environment and communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.

An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be modified.

Due to security requirements at Canadian Nuclear facilities, the successful candidate will require a Site Access Security Clearance which includes verification of background information, references, a Criminal Record Name Check and a Canadian Security Intelligence Service security recommendation.

An Eligibility List generated from this competition may be used to fill future vacancies at the same level within a period of up to 12 months.
