Horizon Health Network (Horizon) is seeking a strategic, innovative, accomplished, influential, energic individual to join our team as a Talent Acquisition Specialist. The ideal candidate will have experience in end-to-end talent acquisition strategy and evolving recruiting practices to ensure an exceptional candidate experience. They will drive candidate attraction and experience in International (1-2 resources), Canadian (1 resource) and Campus (1-2 resources) recruitment needs.

Who you are

Completion of a recognized post-secondary degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field.

You have worked a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in recruitment. You have experience in healthcare industry. You have a general proficiency level in Microsoft Office applications.

Written and spoken competence in English and French is required at an advanced level.

What you will do

  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge and specialization in workforce planning analytics and trends for their respective talent community.
  • Accountable for end-to-end talent acquisition strategy; attracting and hiring the best talent.
  • Determine, recommend, and implement proactive search methods, job posting optimization, comprehensive recruitment campaign planning, and building relationships with medical schools and community partners (for recruitment purposes).
  • Develops talent pipelines to support organizational resourcing needs.
  • Build and execute effective hiring strategies and market a recruitment brand that attracts top talent.
  • Continuously evolve recruiting practices to ensure an exceptional candidate experience and contribution to HHN objectives.
  • Act as a strategic business partner with departments and department chiefs to define recruitment needs and develop new and innovative approaches.
  • Attend and represent Horizon at recruitment and industry events both in and outside the province.
  • Partner with the Government of New Brunswick on talent acquisition strategy and efforts.
  • Collaborate with the New Brunswick Medical Society Physician Recruitment Specialist to recruit physicians to and promote the new Family Medicine New Brunswick Program.
  • Responsible for the talent acquisition daily operations such as screening, interviewing, and processing potential candidates.
  • Prepare letter of offers based on candidate's training and experience while liaising with the Department of Health regarding remuneration levels and potential incentives.
  • Collect, input and pull standardized data and reports in relation to recruitment metrics. Reviews and analyze data to identify trends and recommend solutions to improve recruiting efforts.
  • Provide formal and informal training to hiring managers on talent acquisition e.g., interviewing best practices.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in the respective talent community when participating in cross-departmental committees and project teams on talent acquisition initiatives.

  • Ability to demonstrate a high level of initiative, innovation and proactivity while acting as a brand ambassador.
  • Experience with community and education partnerships in support of attracting candidates from diverse backgrounds.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of business priorities and ability to translate these into talent acquisition activities.
  • Works collaboratively with team members and others across the organization to achieve shared objectives.
  • Ability to build strong partnerships with key stakeholders and candidates through relationship management skills.
  • Ability to track, interpret and analyze data to provide ongoing reports and dashboards.
  • A self-starter and strong communicator both written and verbal.
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
