Demands, duties, qualifications
Job Summary
The Regional Manager is accountable for financial and administrative services including budget preparation, financial statement analysis, and variance reporting for the Community Supports Program. This position is accountable for policy formation, financial assessments, and authorization of services for clients of the Community Supports Program who are in receipt of a variety of residential and supportive services. This involves the planning, organizing, directing, and controlling of the various aspects of operations, with direct accountability for expenditure approvals.

The Regional Manager is also responsible for office administrative management for NL Health Service's Community Services office at the Mount Pearl Square site.

Job Qualifications

Education
Bachelor's degree in business or social sciences. Master's degree preferred.

Experience
Progressive leadership and a minimum of five (5) years' experience in an accounting/financial position is required.
Two years' experience in healthcare with preference given to community based care.

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
Knowledge of relevant legislation, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and best practices.
Knowledge of project management systems and practices.
Expertise and knowledge of current financial services practices, broad knowledge of systems, controls and client service requirements.
Demonstrated strong interpersonal and organization skills.
Ability to function independently and effectively in a high pressured, diverse and changing environment.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and interact with senior managers and other leaders.
Demonstrated excellent communication and change management skills will be required to support the integration of Eastern Health's financial structure.
Demonstrated time management, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to function in a high pressure, diverse and changing environment.
