Corporate Lending Operations (CLO) is a team of over seventy experienced professionals who provide loan servicing administration for TD Bank's largest and most complex corporate clients globally. We also support the enterprise by administering foreign currency loans for personal credit, private banking as well as commercial and retail clients. The CLO team partners with the Credit Management teams and Origination teams to mitigate risk and deliver world class service to our global client base.

Job Description:

As the Manager, the incumbent is responsible for the day-to-day administration of a group of assigned borrowing accounts where TD is a participant or assigned the role as Administrative Agent. The incumbent must have knowledge of consortium lending / other multi-lender transactions. This will include overseeing such things as Loan transactions, documentation review, upkeep and maintenance of client profiles / records, daily transactional reconciliation, customer service and day-to-day account operations.

Position is responsible for the interpretation of Loan Agreements and other legal documents in support of the loan facilities. Incumbent must oversee the monitoring of accounts for compliance within the credit terms established ensuring suitable notification to Senior Management as required.

The incumbent is accountable to identify, recommend and implement operational efficiencies to improve the effectiveness of the department.

Manages corporate lending portfolio and supports customer service activities by ensuring timely and accurate quality processing.

  • Manage a team of individuals who are responsible to service loans for the bank's largest clients and provide work direction in completing processes, transactions, and multi-step lending activities.
  • Ensure the quality of team's work and understand its impact on the activities of others within and outside of own function / unit.
  • Function as the primary point of contact for escalation and problem resolutions for internal groups, partners and/or customers
  • Maintain effective relationships with business partners, lawyers, and other support groups.
  • Identify and recommend automation opportunities; implement agreed upon process changes.
  • As appropriate, oversee the delivery of projects and communicate project status on an ongoing basis, escalating where necessary to achieve project objectives.
  • Accountable for the development of operational improvements to streamline procedures and enhance customer service, ensure changes are implemented and adhered to by the team.
  • Proven ability to lead and execute on complex and/ad hoc requests.

Other Qualifications/Skills/Experiences:

  • Solid understanding of the credit process is an asset.
  • Proficient Microsoft Suite of products and Mainframe
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong verbal / written communication skills
  • Must be self-motivated, strong team player; possess sharp analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work with high profile clients as well as Senior Management.
  • Commitment to operational and service excellence
  • Strong business acumen and passion for customer service
