As a key member of the NL Liquor Corporation, reporting to the Director of IT, you will be responsible for the successful planning, execution, management, change control and delivery of corporate strategic projects. Key responsibilities for the incumbent include, but are not limited to:
- Assist management in the annual budgeting process for corporate strategic projects, providing insights into resource allocation and project costs.
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive project plans, while prioritizing tasks and managing day-to-day operations, including documentation, timelines, resource allocations, risk and change management, and contingency planning to mitigate risks and ensure accountability for project outcomes.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, document, and translate detailed project requirements into technical deliverables, define project objectives, scope, and deliverables, ensuring accurate execution and alignment with organizational goals.
- Collaborate with internal teams to analyze cross-departmental business processes, identifying inefficiencies and recommending actionable improvements.
- Apply appropriate project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid) to ensure efficient and accurate execution of project activities, adapting approaches as needed based on project requirements.
- Effectively communicate project status, issues, and resolutions to stakeholders, and coordinate with vendors and internal teams to facilitate seamless project delivery, ensuring alignment of tasks and timely completion of milestones.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth project transitions to support teams, providing necessary training and coordinating the development of comprehensive support documentation.
- Ensure compliance with Government procurement guidelines, policies, procedures, as well as application, infrastructure, and security standards throughout the project lifecycle by developing procurement plans, managing vendors, and adhering to established processes.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree (Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field) and 10 years project management experience, with at least 5 years of proven project management experience on large-scale, corporate strategic projects. An equivalent combination of education and work experience can be considered.
- Excellent leadership, communication, conflict management, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, ensuring adherence to deadlines, project governance and quality standards.
- Ability to drive a positive team culture while fostering collaboration, communication, and empowering team members to contribute their best.
- Experience with business process modeling, analysis, and optimization techniques, including the use of relevant tools (e.g., Visio, BPMN tools).
- Familiarity with processes and systems related to retail sales, supply chain management, wholesale, logistics, marketing, finance, and human resources processes.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall, with the ability to adapt approaches based on project requirements.
- Certifications in leadership or project management, such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or other relevant areas considered an asset.
