Demands, duties, qualifications
The Nurse Practitioner is part of an interdisciplinary team responsible for Primary Health Care services based on the needs of the population in a Corner Brook health neighborhood. This can include the provision services in a variety of settings and methods including in person visits, virtual care, and visits in patients' homes including within personal care homes.

QUALIFICATIONS: Current registration with the Association of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador, graduation from an approved School of Nursing and successful completion of the Nurse Practitioner Program are required. The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate an acceptable level of competency in organizational, leadership, interpersonal, team building, communication, decision making and computer skills through an interview process. The successful candidate should possess considerable clinical experience in the care of the older adult population. Certification with the Canadian Nurses' Association in Gerontological Nursing is preferred. The incumbent must demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills. The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships is essential. Experience working independently and a willingness to travel are also required. Maintaining certification in BCLS is also required.
