Job Summary
Reporting to the Director - Facilities and Infrastructure Support, Biomedical Engineering, Housing & Leasing, and Quality, the Regional Manager - Infrastructure Support Operations will be a leader within Facilities and Support Services in the Eastern Rural Zone. The Regional Manager provides strategic direction regarding the Infrastructure department's mandate, focus and service delivery model, and leadership in key areas including short and long term capital planning, enhancement of physical infrastructure, and the provision of a safe environment for staff, visitors and clients.
The Regional Manager will oversee multiple health care facilities with a multi-trade work force and assist in the planning/scheduling of preventive maintenance, demand maintenance and special projects. The Regional manager is responsible for all aspects of the facilities' architectural, mechanical, ventilation and electrical systems and collaborates with other leaders and programs within NLHS to ensure successful operations.
Job Qualifications
Education
A bachelor's degree in business, engineering, technology, or a health-related discipline is required.
Experience
Minimum of five years of experience within the last seven working in facility management within a healthcare setting is required.
Minimum of two years of experience within the last four years working in a management/leadership role is required.
Experience leading process and quality improvement initiatives is required.
Experience in change and project management is required.
Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
Knowledge of budget preparation and analysis, building codes, and mechanical and electrical systems.
Knowledge of quality improvement principles, human resource management, change management and fiscal management.
Demonstrated ability to interpret layouts, assembly diagrams and schematics for equipment installations.
Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a high pressure, diverse and changing environment.
Demonstrated strong computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
