JOB PURPOSE

The Manager Food and Nutrition Services is responsible for supervising the provision of food services as well as performing the work of a clinical dietitian.

QUALIFICATIONS

• A Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Foods and Nutrition or Institutional
• Management and completion of a Dietetic Internship.
• Must have two years of experience working as a dietician.
• Must be registered and a member in good standing with the New Brunswick Association of Dietitians.
• Ability to attend work on a regular basis.
• Ability to perform the duties of the position.
• Good work record.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Managing the preparation, distribution and service of food
• Coordinating human resource requirements including scheduling staff
• Developing and/or ensuring compliance with sanitation and quality standards, policies and procedures
• Developing and reporting on operating budgets and overseeing inventory
• Participating in the selection, orientation and training of staff
• Instructing patients/clients and their support givers regarding diet therapy
• Participating in the training of dietetic interns and other staff
• Performing the work of clinical dietitian
