About the Role
Reporting to the Manager, Business Evolution, the Business Improvement Specialist is responsible for providing first level support for internal system users. This role provides expertise regarding service delivery policies, procedures, systems, tools and processes to internal service delivery stakeholders in claims, policy and billing functional areas.
This role provides input into the continued evolution of service delivery methods aimed at improving the customer experience, service quality and internal efficiency. The Business Support Specialist identifies, recommends and helps implement opportunities to enhance systems, procedures, tools and processes related to claims, policy and billing service areas.
The Business Improvement Specialist provides a positive customer experience to internal stakeholders and is responsible for communicating a resolution and responding within established service targets and defined deadlines. This role is also responsible for triaging and escalated inquiries and requests back to the ITS Department and/or the Business Analyst for further investigation when unresolved incidents or system outages occur outside of their scope of practice.
The Business Improvement Specialist is required to translate business needs into recommendations for various solution enhancements and ensures that all procedures, systems, tools and processes and any related training programs are updated accordingly. This role acts as a subject matter expert for service delivery and is a key stakeholder in identifying risks and trends that may impact future system releases, tools and procedural changes.
As part of this role, the Business Improvement Specialist plays an integral part in supporting the demand management and release management processes by defining business system requirements, supporting impact analysis, performing end user testing, and trouble-shooting system/process problems.
Your Experience & Skills
- A university degree in business or commerce or a related field.
- One (1) year of demonstrated experience collaborating with others to make business improvements by leveraging technology and processes.
We offer a competitive compensation package ranging from $63,239 - $79,037.
