Position Purpose:


The purpose of this role is to support the implementation of Financial Services Initiatives, including digital payments transformation, contactless payment solutions, and enhancements to e-commerce payment options such as Buy-Now-Pay-Later. Additionally, you will contribute to key PRO initiatives like Trade Credit and the Credit Line Accommodation Program. This position involves collaborating on cross-functional projects and preparing strategic financial analyses that will inform business decisions and drive organizational performance into the future.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Analyze information and develop reports to drive the business and to improve sales and profitability.
  • Prepare financial analysis and forecasts for the use in the development of financial business decisions.
  • Liaise with internal and external business partners in divisional and corporate offices to ensure an effective communication process.
  • Work directly with store and field resources.
  • Participate in budget preparations and analysis.
  • Maintain company records in accordance with general accounting principles.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of the reporting systems.
  • Provide analysis that adds value to the business and allows for the making of strategically sound decisions.
  • In coordination with other departments, conduct special financial and statistical studies.
  • Work with merchandising to develop analysis to drive the business.

Knowledge/Experience Required:

  • Must fulfill minimum time-in-position (1 year) and performance management code requirements M+
  • 3 to 5 years of Financial/Accounting experience
  • Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business.
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access.
  • Bilingual (English/French) an asset.
  • SQL experience an asset.
  • Demonstrate expertise in business analysis and financial modeling
  • Self-starter, efficient, organized and able to produce high quality work under pressure and in a timely fashion.
  • Strong analytical skills and attentive to details.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels.
  • Strong work ethic and sense of responsibility and confidentiality.
  • Flexible in attitude and approach to business solutions.
