JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting directly to the Chief Technology and Health Innovation Officer, the Director of Digital Health and Innovation is responsible for planning, leading, and coordinating technology innovation initiatives within the organization. This person plays a crucial role in digital transformation and the adoption of new technologies to improve health services and the patient experience. To ensure effective implementation, the incumbent will need to work closely with Vitalité Health Network's IT operations management and with Service New Brunswick, the provincial government's main technology service provider.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master's degree (health sciences, computer science, engineering, health systems management or related field);
  • Progressive experience in management with a minimum of five years in a management role, preferably in IT;
  • Experience in the health care system (five years);
  • Experience in managing large-scale projects that include a significant technological component;
  • Experience in human resources management and in financial management;
  • Ability to define and articulate a strategic vision for digital transformation in the health care sector;
  • In-depth knowledge of digital health technologies, artificial intelligence and data analysis;
  • Ability to understand and evaluate emerging technologies and their potential applications in the health care field;
  • Ability to plan, execute and supervise complex projects, on time and on budget;
  • Ability to promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the organization;
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts in an accessible and understandable way;
  • Ability to assess team and project performance and to take corrective action where necessary;
  • Excellent skills in team management and engagement in a flexible, changing and virtual environment;
  • Analysis, synthesis and writing skills;
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in both official languages;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Physical ability to perform the work assigned;
  • Good work history (performance and attendance);
  • Adherence to the Network's professional ethical principles, management philosophy, and organizational values.

Written and spoken competence in English and French is required.
