SCHEDULE: Day, 8 and 12-hour shifts. Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.

JOB SUMMARY:

The incumbent reports to the Board of Directors of the Chaleur Regional Hospital Foundation. The Director of Development works closely with the Foundations of the four health care facilities in the Acadie-Bathurst Zone to support them in their respective mission, vision and strategic objectives. Thus, the Director of Development works directly with the Boards of Directors of each Foundation, that is, those of the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Enfant-Jésus RHSJ† Hospital, Lamèque Hospital and CHC and Tracadie Hospital. The incumbent is responsible for the general leadership of the four Foundations and supervises the team at the Chaleur Regional Hospital Foundation supporting the activities of the four Foundations.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Administration or a related field, or an equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Prior professional experience in fundraising and management of foundations or diversified development programs
  • At least five years' experience as a manager in a non-profit organization
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) in both official languages
  • Inspiring leadership and ability to work as a team
  • Analytical and logical aptitudes
  • Project management and ability to work under pressure
  • Management of human resources, including staff, volunteers and Boards
  • Financial management
  • Good judgement and initiative
  • Discretion and respect for the rules of confidentiality
  • Mastery of the Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Physical ability to perform the assigned work;
  • Good work history (performance and attendance);
  • Adherence to professional ethical principles, the Network's management philosophy, and organizational values;
  • Compliance with the rules of confidentiality set by Vitalité Health Network.
