Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated carpenter to join our expanding Installed Sales team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with various carpentry tasks, as well as general labor duties. May Clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support and erect scaffolding, clean up rubble, debris, and other waste material. As needed you may be called upon to assist other trade workers.

Responsibilities:

• Assist carpenters with measuring, cutting, shaping, and joining materials made of wood, plywood, and other materials.

• Transport and organize materials and tools.

• Perform general labor duties such as cleaning and organizing job sites, loading, and unloading materials, and moving equipment.

• Ensure that all work is done in accordance with industry standards and regulations.

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

• Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to fully grasp job requirements.

• Cut, shape, and smooth lumber and other materials according to planned measurements.

• Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner.

• Safely operate a variety of hand and power tools.

• Ensure regulated and proper headgear, gloves, safety glasses, and clothing are worn.

• Assist in building scaffolding and temporary structures.

• Follow project instructions from the install manager and/or supervisor.

• Must be capable of climbing ladders, scaffolding, and other construction structures.

• Required to take all safety training required courses for the job.

• Other duties as assigned by the Installed Sales Manager and Store Manager.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in carpentry or construction industry is preferred.

• Proficient in the use of power and hand tools.

• Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
