Horizon Health Network (Horizon) is seeking a dedicated, innovative, focused individual to join our team as a Business Intelligence Analyst.

The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for working with the business owners to produce reports, dashboards and visualizations to assist the business with understanding, analyzing, and taking action on information derived from the business data. You will be a key player in the adoption of data analytics and visualization within the organization.

As a Business Intelligence Analyst reporting to the Manager, Performance Analytics, you will apply your knowledge and experience of data visualization and transformation to solve challenging business problems and bring innovative solutions. You will consult and partner with individuals at various levels of the organization to execute their reporting and visualization deliverables. The role includes the collection, preparation, analysis and interpretation of data and performance information relating to training measurement & evaluation.

The Business Intelligence Analyst has a strong attention to detail and an advanced understanding of SQL, business metrics and KPIs. In addition to creating new reports and dashboards, the Business Intelligence Analyst will assist the business with refining/replacing existing reporting. The role will also provide coaching and support to users across the organization to promote self-service reporting.

You'll be tasked with querying, extracting and analyzing raw data from multiple large and complex databases using ad-hoc/ automated reporting solutions; and using various reporting platforms. In addition, there will be opportunities in data modeling and cube design. The ideal candidate will generate meaningful insights to influence business decisions and will demonstrate the capacity to play multiple roles including architect, cube and report developer, and end user trainer/mentor.

Who you are

You have a worked in a similar role for a minimum of 2 years.

  • You have a degree/diploma in computer science, business, statistics or related discipline and 2-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Nice to have proven experience in Healthcare data analytics or Health Information Management.
  • You have demonstrated experience in SQL programming, building visualizations using BI tools (PowerBI, PowerPivot, DAX, Tableau), working with large data sets and analytical functions to derive client-related insights.
  • Strong conceptual, logical and physical data modeling experience. Technical background in the areas of Data Integration, Modelling, Security, and Enterprise Data Warehouse development
  • Previous experience developing visually engaging UI interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript is a plus.

Written and spoken competence in English is required at an advanced level.
