GLOBAL LEARNING AND ENGAGEMENT DEPARTMENT

Global Learning and Engagement (GLE) is the external face of UNB Academics. GLE works with Faculties and other Offices across UNB coordinating partnership development and standardizing pathway and exchange agreements. GLE assures that academic regulations are adhered to and that agreements meet all of UNB's legal, risk management, and privacy requirements.

Salary Range: $43,163- $53,953 per annum

YOUR FOCUS

Reporting to Assistant Vice President Academic (Partnerships), the Domestic Pathway Coordinator will work with Faculty Dean's and Program Chairs to renew and develop new pathways programs with Canadian Community Colleges, Polytechnics, and Technical Schools.

  • Facilitate the academic review of partner programs, development of UNB course equivalency tables, and equivalency approval across departments and Faculties at UNB.
  • Work with the Director of Pathways and the Manager of Internal MOU processes to ensure that all UNB academic, legal, risk management, and privacy policies are adhered to and that agreements protect UNB and its students.
  • Coordinate with existing partner institutions to identify new pathway programs to UNB.
  • Explore, in cooperation with the AVPA (Partnerships), new pathway opportunities with existing partners.
  • Reach out to Faculties and Departments to present new opportunities and facilitate the development of new pathway programs.
  • Coordinate with the Registrar's Office and the Recruitment Office to identify the source of transfer students.
  • Evaluate the credits approved and review the potential partner institution's programs and quality.
  • Develop business cases for pathway development for potential new domestic partners, and present to the Faculty Dean and Program Chairs.
  • Facilitate and coordinate the pathway agreement development.
  • Develop familiarity with Community Colleges and Technical Schools across Canada, monitor partnerships at other Canadian Universities and continually look for new pathway opportunities for UNB programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • A University Degree in a related field.
  • Previous experience working in university setting.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Additional Strengths

Familiarity with UNB's academic programs is an asset.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (365).

Strong organizational skills.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to build positive working relationships.

Ability to act with tact and diplomacy.
