Purpose:


• Ensure that Global Banking and Markets' short, mid, and long term business strategies and priorities assigned to GWO are understood and that Securities Clearing has systems, processes, controls, and infrastructure in place to support it. Working closely with the Manager and/or Sr. Manager, Settlement & Clearing the incumbent will provide Securities Clearing support ensuring business objectives are achieved.
• Ensuring accuracy and process consistency is maintained in order to keep key controls at acceptable levels.
• Living the performance culture in GBM through effective team support/management practices


Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:


Ensure a high degree of operational efficiency, processing accuracy, and conformity to Bank regulations by:


• Identifying and implementing opportunities for improvements in productivity, control, cost effectiveness, and user/customer relations;
• Contributing to the resolution of operational problems ensuring appropriate action is taken to prevent recurrence.
• Providing or participating in training sessions and seminars;
• Contributing to the preparation of associated manuals, guides and procedures;
• Ability to deal with daily issues/changes in retail and trading products as they impact Securities Clearing;
• Understand securities markets, securities types and industry standards for custody, clearing and settlement.


Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We'd love to work with you if you have:


• The position requires a minimum of 2 years' experience in service to a complex operational unit with exposure to management or projects.
• Exceptional communication, Interpersonal, time management and organizational skills are required for this role in conjunction with good people skills.
• Ability to maintain processes seamlessly in a rapidly changing environment regarding policies, procedures, automated systems and client needs.
• Knowledge of Securities Operations' processes, systems, and controls in multiple geographic locations
• Ability to effectively request assistance
• Quick reactions in order to respond to situations requiring Senior Management involvement/decisions;
• Adaptability to constant changes, tight deadline, limited guidance and ambiguous scenarios occurring within Securities Clearing and an ability to effectively support change.
• Knowledge of systems employed by Securities Operations globally including Broadridge (ADP), GLOSS, ICI-Impact, ION
MMI and ANVIL, Canadian Depository for Securities (CDS), Depository Trust Company (DTCC), Paramax – Arrow as well as
applications of various Central Securities Depositories and Global Custodians (Clearstream, Euroclear, Bank of New York Mellon,
BNP Paribas, Deutsche Bank, HSBC, JPM, Itau Unibanco, LCH / Eurex Bonds, etc)
• Proven experience in servicing a complex operating unit combined with exposure to Head Office environment;
• Strong general time management skills that include prioritization, team support, and human relation skills in order to assist management with change and motivation.
• Adaptability to constant changes occurring within operations and its internal clients.


Work Arrangement:


The global securities industry is complex and changes rapidly. The incumbent may face stressful situations due to rapid change, immediate and complex business needs and multiple high priority issues. Due to the Global nature of this area, some statutory holidays will be required to be worked, with appropriate compensation.
