Job Description:

Job Desciption Summary:

PODS and related applications are used for storage of transaction history, customer profile information, limit utilization data, and other data use cases. All data transfer history stored in PODS is logged into Splunk via the Splunk forwarder. This application serves as data provider for many rest api's and acts as repository for many payments rails and wires. Processing pipeline includes both batch and streaming via Kafka.

Presently we are looking for a IT Support Analyst role, with good logical and analytical thinking. The individual is expected to have a background on CD/CI pipelines and Agile scrum methodologies.

ITIL certification or process knowledge highly appreciated.

Here's some of what you may be asked to perform:

  • Create change records for releases.
  • Manage emergency and expedited changes by working with multiple stakeholders and align to meet business needs.
  • Represent change review meetings and help changes navigate from inception to closure adhering to TD release workflow process.
  • Lead go live activities and send release notes upon completion of successful deployments.
  • Coordinate with external/internal vendors and clients with respect to release communication and help them perform any integration testing efforts.
  • Maintain documentation related to process and procedures on release builds and distribution lists.
  • Promptly schedule packaging and new applications releases, engage partners. plan parallel work streams when possible.
  • Effectively coordinate with L2 support team to handle incident management for outages.
  • Ensure timely notification and escalation of possible issues/problems, options and recommendations for prompt resolution.
  • Respect TD's technology delivery practices and standards, project management disciplines.
  • Join projects aimed at evolving the base infrastructure, deploying new technologies, or optimizing the operational environment.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning (Define, Review, Test).
  • Rigorously build and test applications.
  • Perform systems administration: monitor, configure, back-up, authenticate, tune.
  • Aim for defect-free programming, create and maintain quality code, provide support during testing cycles and post-production deployment, engage in peer code reviews.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

Required Experience (Must have):

  • Undergraduate Degree or Technical Certificate
  • 4-7 years relevant experience
  • 2 + years working with Service Now
  • Knowledge in CI/CD tools like Git, Bitbucket, Maven, Jenkins, JIRA, Confluence is considered an asset
  • Java/Rest API
  • Kafka streaming pipeline development
  • No Sql experience

Nice to have:
ITIL Certification
