The Finance Clerk - Accounts Payable, Financial Services is responsible for the timely processing and disbursement of expenses incurred by the schools and regional offices. The Finance Clerk - Accounts Payable will work as part of a team to process payments, generate cheques, perform accurate balancing processes and produce the necessary reports required to support the efficient operation of the accounting department. Working collaboratively within the Department, the Finance Clerk - Accounts Payable reports directly to the Supervisor of Accounting
Qualifications:
a) Recognized business diploma or the equivalent obtained through training and experience;
b) Minimum two (2) years experience in an accounting environment including the operation of an advanced accounting system, spreadsheets, word processing and the Internet;
c) Experience with SAP considered an asset.
Rate of Pay: This is an NSGEU (Nova Scotia Government and General Employees Union) position with an hourly rate of $25.23.
