Kraken Robotics is currently seeking a Warehouse Clerk to join our team. The Warehouse Clerk must be able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, team environment and be interested in contributing to the direction of future Kraken products. They are responsible for various warehouse related tasks related to shipping, receiving, inventory management including goods storage and warehouse organization. Their work includes administrative duties and hands-on work including receiving and processing stock and material. This position is based at our Mount Pearl, Newfoundland, Canada facility.
- Receiving, unloading and shelving products/inventory items.
- Advise the Logistics & Inventory Coordinator when there are discrepancies with a shipment and/or if there are damages to the shipment/products when they arrive.
- Ensuring the products/items are sorted, labelled and stored in an orderly manner in line with the ERP system and following Kraken's policies and procedures.
- Receive items into inventory via the inventory management system.
- Physically put the products/items on the respective shelves and ensure that the labelling is correct.
- Work with the Inventory Controller to update and maintain the inventory management system, ensuring that the inventory levels are accurate.
- Advise the Logistics & Inventory Coordinator and/or the Inventory Controller when there are inaccuracies.
- Assist the Logistics & Inventory Controller with the processing, packaging and shipping of orders as required, including the picking of orders as required.
- Assisting in implementing and maintaining inventory controls and keeping quality standard high for inventory counts and audits.
- Assist the Logistics & Inventory Coordinator and the Inventory Controller with conducting quarterly inventory counts.
- Keeping a clean and safe working environment and optimizing space utilization.
- Fulfil other duties as required.
- A minimum of one year experience working in a warehouse setting either shipping & receiving or inventory clerk.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
- A minimum of one year experience working with inventory management systems.
- Ability to work independently, as well as effectively within a team environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a high degree of organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task and have the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Good written communication skills.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment would be an asset.
- Having the minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
